Consulting with Business on the Consumer Rights Directive and reducing burden for business

Chambers Ireland is hoping to collect feedback and comments from businesses regarding their views on the impact of the Consumer Rights Directive on their business and whether it could be reformed to be more SME-friendly. The deadline for comments is close of business on Thursday next week.

Amongst the chief concerns held by businesses across Europe is legal uncertainty, enormous bureaucracy and excessive regulatory burdens for companies, especially SMEs, with particular reference to off-premises contracts and distance contracts.

We would be grateful if you could give  some feedback on whether you have found the requirements of the Consumer Rights Directive to be burdensome for your company.

Feedback and testimonials should be sent to emma.kerins@chambers.ie before the 28th April 2016.
