COURSE CONTENT

Developed in partnership with Board Iascaigh Mhara, Wexford Chamber Skillnet and Carlow IT (BIM – Ireland’s Seafood Development Agency), this programme offers opportunities for personal development to explore new insights in strategic thinking and to enhance presentation skills for supervisory or management roles in emerging growth areas.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

This course will be of interest to those looking to enter management roles in Aquabusiness, Aquaeconomics, financial or regulatory roles in R&D or in a seafood processing company. Equally the course will be of interest to those wishing to start an Aquabusiness company or expand an existing company into new markets.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicants require an NFQ Level 7 or level 8 Award or equivalent in a related discipline.
  • Other applicants will be considered on an individual basis in accordance with the Institute policy on

RPL (recognised prior learning). Candidates who do not have a Level 7 or higher award but have other relevant industry experience may be eligible for the programme through RPL. IT Carlow reserve the right to require applicants to attend for an interview to determine their suitability for the programme

COURSE FEES 2017-2018

€2,499, however fees could be reduced to €1,499if paid in full before 11th August 2017 and if candidates are successful in securing the following funding assists:

  • An early bird discount fee of €300 from IT Carlow
  • €500 from Wexford Chamber Skillnets for suitable candidates
  • €200 reduction for the first 15 candidates
