Three Sisters 2020 and South East Radio hold live outside broadcast

24 June 2016: Get ready for an action-packed day of family-fun in Wexford this Saturday 25th June, as Three Sisters 2020 and South East radio team up to hold a live outside broadcast.

From 2pm to 5pm, South East Radio presenter Alan Corcoran will broadcast from The Quay. It’s the last of three radio events supporting the Three Sisters – made up of Kilkenny, Waterford and Wexford – as it bids for the title of European Capital of Culture 2020.

There will be family-friendly activities, and the Three Sisters 2020 team will be on hand with lots of treats to give away. Spot prizes have been kindly donated by Leisure Max, Loftus Hall, Wells House & Gardens and Clayton Whites Hotel.

Wexford’s much loved band Corner Boy will perform live on the day and there will be dance recitals from local dance students. A number of well-known faces are expected on the day, as well as Wexford Arts Centre Executive Director, Elizabeth Whyte; Cathaoirleach Tony Dempsey and Wexford Councillor George Lawlor.

Everyone in The Quay area on Saturday afternoon is welcome to join the action between 2pm-5pm.

The event comes just three weeks before the European Union’s European Capital of Culture selection panel names the winner of the 2020 European Capital of Culture title.
