Blaithin Ennis
We are just bursting at the seams here at Love Fashion Love Wexford with exciting news!! Gorey jewellery designer Blaithin Ennis, who was awarded the title ‘Jewellery Designer of the Year’ at the 2014 Irish Fashion Innovation Awards, will feature unique pieces from her most recent jewellery collection as part of #LFLW Fashion Show on 20th September.
Bláithín’s enthusiasm for designing eye-catching, avant-garde fashion pieces is apparent in her collections. Her couture pieces have been used in fashion shows, magazine publications, television, musical performances and film.
With mixtures of delicate and robust heavy metals, sparkling crystals and soft whimsical shell mesh, her creations represent the ‘unconventional’ in accessories and jewellery.
Bláithín’s unique approach to material manipulation, embroidery, structure and embellishment produce unique, high-end designs.
Within a year of graduating from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, Bláithín went about setting up her own label ‘Blaithin Ennis’. In 2012 she launched her first collection of couture fashion pieces, alongside her range of contemporary jewellery. She stands by her ethos, “A unique accessory can give a new lease of life to the very simple garment”.
