InterTradeIreland Breakfast Briefings & Go2Tender

InterTradeIreland, in partnership with the Office of Government Procurement, Ibec, SFA, ISME, CIF and Chambers Ireland are delivering a series of breakfast workshops to educate and engage businesses on the island around public procurement, a market worth in the region of €12 billion per annum.

The next Breakfast Briefing is taking place on Wednesday, 11 April 2018 at Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone and is now available to register for by following this link.

European Innovation Week – Taipei, Taiwan

The European Commission’s Taiwan office will be hosting the European Innovation Week, from the 4th to the 8th of June 2018, back to back with the EU-Taiwan industrial dialogue and the COMPUTEX international fair.

The aim is to foster cooperation between European and Taiwanese companies, clusters and business and research associations by exploring possible common areas of interest for cooperation and complementarities, in terms of sectoral, value chain, and market focus.

The event will feature seminars on following sectors:

  • Circular Economy
  • Wind Power
  • Smart Mobility
  • Smart Manufacturing
  • 5G
  • Horizon 2020
  • Medical devices

Registration to any of the activities of the EU-Taiwan event on Industry of the future is free of charge and can be done through the event’s website.

European Parliament of Enterprises 2018

The European Parliament of Enterprises (EPE), hosted by Eurochambres every two years, is scheduled to take place in the European Parliament in Brussels on Wednesday, the 10th of October 2018. Voom 2018 – Business Pitch event to pitch your business idea to Sir Richard Branson

Virgin Media Business Ireland will be holding the finals of their VOOM 2018 business pitch event on Wednesday, 23rd of May. VOOM 2018 is a pitch event that focuses specifically on providing new opportunities for small and medium businesses across Ireland through allowing applicants to pitching business ideas to Sir Richard Branson himself.

Virgin Media Business Ireland have partnered with some of today’s biggest disruptors to provide the tools, funding and time to develop your business idea. Over €1 million in prize money for successful pitches will be available.

The deadline for applications to pitch your business idea is Tuesday, the 15th of May.
