County Wexford Retail Strategy 2019-2025 – Wexford Town Meeting

This meeting will take place at the Talbot Hotel, Wexford on Tuesday 5th December from 2-4pm.

On behalf of the Forward Planning Team of Wexford County Council, Future Analytics Consulting Ltd (who have been commissioned to undertake the County Wexford Retail Strategy 2019-2025), would like to invite you to attend a meeting on the future of the retail sector in Wexford Town and environs.

The Forward Planning Section of Wexford County Council are in the process of preparing a new County Development Plan which will cover the period 2019-2025.  Formal ‘pre-draft plan’ public consultations took place in the first part of 2017.  The first draft of the plan will be submitted to the Council Members at the end of February 2018.

As part of the process, the County Retail Strategy which formed part of the County Development Plan 2013-2019 will be replaced with a new Strategy.   The new Retail Strategy will contain a detailed section on each of the four main towns: New Ross, Wexford Town, Enniscorthy and Gorey.  The purpose of the Retail Strategy is to secure the vibrancy and viability of Wexford’s main retail centres. It will ensure that the planning system continues to play a positive role in supporting competitiveness and choice in the retail sector.

The meeting is your opportunity to discuss retail requirements, opportunities for growth and development of the sector and to highlight any issues of concern in relation to the retail environment of Wexford Town and environs.

We very much welcome your input on the direction and content of the strategy.

Confirm your attendance by emailing   maria.rochford@futureanalytics.ie
