European Commission Publishes Work Programme for 2020

Last week, the European Commission adopted its 2020 Work Programme and published it. The Programme sets out the actions the Commission will take in 2020 to put the Political Guidelines of European Commission President von der Leyen into action.

The Programme is divided into five sections:

  1. A Union that strives for more
  2. Delivery on the six headline ambitions
  3. Review of initiatives proposed under previous mandates not yet agreed by the European Parliament and Council
  4. Better Regulation, policymaking, implementation and enforcement of EU law
  5. Conclusion
