At a well-attended AGM of Wexford Chamber last Thursday, 7th December, in the Chamber Offices on Hill Street, the Board and Members  paid tribute to retiring President Karl Fitzpatrick and welcomed his successor, Niall Reck.

Karl has been Chamber President for the past two years and his passion and innovative spirit has most definitely enhanced the positioning of Wexford Chamber as one of the most successful chambers in the country.  In thanking Karl, Madeleine Quirke, CEO Wexford Chamber, remarked “his vision for new and interesting areas of business engagement has brought many opportunities for Members to further market and develop their businesses.”

On  behalf of the Board of Directors, the Chamber Members and the Staff, Madeleine wished Karl every success for the future including his new position as a Board Member of Chambers Ireland.  On behalf of all involved with Wexford Chamber, Madeleine presented Karl with a gift of an original Paul Moloney painting of Wexford Town.

The new President  of Wexford Chamber is Niall Reck who is the owner / Digital Designer for Graphedia. Niall has years of experience designing for the web, print and video industry and has been an integral part of Wexford Chamber for a number of years.  Niall received the Chains of Office from Karl and said that he was honoured to be given this role.

“Karl like all Presidents before him has done tremendous work and I will be doing everything in my power to  continue to develop and grow Wexford  Chamber” said Niall.   “I would like to thank Graham Scallan for accepting the role of Vice President and I am looking forward to working with the Board and with the fabulous team at Wexford Chamber” he added.

“Madeleine has established a very close working relationship with many key stakeholders across the county, and probably across the country, and again I am looking forward to building on these relationships .  It will be important to continue to work collaboratively with Wexford County Council and with the other Co Wexford Chambers in order to market and develop our county.”

“Wexford Chamber has come a long way.  We are a healthy and relevant Chamber, well positioned within the business community in this fabulous office space on Hill Street and we are an organisation that is listened to” concluded Niall.

All in attendance congratulated Niall and have great confidence and are looking forward to the next chapter in the life of Wexford Chamber.
